Camping

Pics from the weekend camping trip to Madeline Island. We stayed at the Big Bay State Park. After numerous bicycle problems were fixed by Grandpa Jim, we took a bike trip from the state park to a neat little town park. We also became good friends with DEET - as the bugs were pretty bad. They seemed to oscillate between swarms of flies and swarms of mosquitoes. Many people had netted dining canopies, which would have been a good idea.

We also went to the beach. Allison really enjoyed playing in the sand. She was covered head to toe.


And the kids went swimming in Lake Superior. The bay was very shallow, which kindof warmed it up a little. The water was also crystal clear, which was neat.
